Apple Pudding Cake with red port wine

I love this Apple Pudding Cake. It’s soft and very moist! ? ? ?

 

♦️ Preparation time: 25 mins ♦️ cooking time: 40 mins  

 

INGREDIENTS
Apple pudding
♦️ 150 gs  Butter
♦️ 150 gs   white suger
♦️ 3 eggs
♦️ 1 tbsp  lemon essence
♦️ 170 gs self-rising flour
Filling
♦️ 15 gs Butter
♦️ 20 gs   white suger
♦️ 2  green apples
15 mm red port wine (rhum, cognac)
optional Walnuts, cinnamon

 

For the filling:

  1. Peel and chop apples and added to a pan with the sugar and butter. We cook for ten minutes.

For the apple pudding: 

  1. Cream butter with sugar until  until pale in color.
  2. A Add a room temperature the eggs and lemon essence. Mix together until smooth.
  3. Add the self-rising flour and mix well using a spatula. 
  4. Pour half the batter into a mould, then the apple filling. Finally, pour the other half of the batter. Decorate with apples or nuts. 
  5. Bake for 40 minutes. Insert a knife or a metal skewer into the cake and if it comes out clean, then the cake is ready.
